Christmas Cactus Succulent Schlumbergera Live Plant
Grown for the brilliant flowers the Christmas Schlumbergera cactus come from the rain forests of Brazil where they grow on the trunks of other plants. They love a little humidity and make great plants for growing in hanging baskets, indoors, or patio in a shaded area where they get filtered light.
Flowers are triggered with shortening day length so in Australia will flower in later autumn to winter. Flowering can also be triggered if they are grown in an area which is lit at night.
Schlumbergeras need excellent drainage and do not grow well in garden soil. For best results use a free draining mix such as an orchid mix. Water plants when they are dry, in active growth and in flower. When not in flower they don’t require much water.
Sensitive to frost, tolerant of drought
Height: 40 cm H x 40 cm W. May grow up to 2 metres across
Position: ideal for cooler, indoors or shaded patio, hanging baskets.
Care: Keep in a cool moist environment, Fertilize in spring with a complete slow release fertilizer. Pinch them back after flowering, this will encourage branching and more flowers.

Shipping, packing and handling times
Plants are shipped on Monday/Tuesdays. Due to packing and handling times all orders must be placed by 4pm Sunday. All orders after this time will be shipped the following week (excluding pre-orders)
All plants come with a 100% money back or replacement guarantee if it does not arrive in excellent condition. For refunds and replacements contact must be made no later than 48 hours after delivery of goods with photo verification of the damaged plants. All requests after 48 hours of delivery are subject to plants being in environmental conditions beyond our control and will not be replaced or refunded.
